The Sinful Woman & the Sinful Man

Discussion Questions:

1. What is Jesus like? What kind of person is he? How did he love both Simon and the sinful woman in the story?
2. How are you different from Jesus? Do you ever judge people (like Simon judged the woman)? Who are you most likely to judge- people like the woman (i.e. immoral people) or people like Simon (i.e. self-righteous/moral people)?
3. Read Psalm 103:8-13 together. Do you see yourself as a big sinner or as a little sinner? How has God in Christ treated YOU in YOUR sin?
4. Discuss the phrase: “He who is forgiven little loves little’ (Luke 7:47). Who are you struggling to love? Why is it hard to love that person? What’s the key to becoming more loving towards them?
