Discussion Questions:
- The kingdom of heaven is both invisible/imperceptible and also inevitable. Therefore, we should be reserved/humble and also bold/hopeful about the condition of the world. Which are you more prone too- cynicism or optimism?
- Given what we learn about the kingdom from the Parable of the Mustard Seed and the Parable of the Leaven, in what ways should we Christians be involved in the world?
- Read 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 together. If the kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, then “small” people doing “small” things glorify God greatly. What do you think it means to “live quietly, to mind your own affairs”?
