Intro: This passage is the end of Paul’s commentary on the origin of sin and its nature.
I. “ALL ARE UNDER SIN”
Paul seems to put everyone on equal footing - whether Jews or Greeks. What are the implications of that? How does the Bible’s teaching on the human race and sin challenge us?
II. GOING OUR OWNWAY
Paul is arguing sin is relational before it is anything else...Sin is fundamentally about a direction of life - where life is aimed. Why is that significant?
III. BECOMING SILENT...IN ORDER TO FEAR
The solution to our sin problem involves shutting our mouths, so that we might stand in awe-filled wonder at God’s salvation in Jesus Christ. How do we do that?
