Outline
Gospel belief leads to gospel behavior. In chapters 1-11, Paul has been declaring what the gospel is. Now, beginning in chapter 12, he describes what the gospel does. The apostle Paul’s goal in penning Romans was what he called “the obedience of faith.” The obedience that comes from faith. Or, obedience that is energized by faith. In other words, the gospel is good news that, if believed, creates a life of love that begins to heal the world.
