Outline
A relationship with God means a relationship with his people. Christians are part of a body, put together by the Spirit. Each part is equipped and empowered by the Spirit to carry out their unique role in creating health and flourishing for the whole body.
I. HUMILITY IN SERVING –WHAT?
Humility is not thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less.
II. HUMILITY IN SERVING –WHY?
What makes a gift “spiritual” is faith.
III. HUMILITY IN SERVING – HOW?
Grace gifts humility to the proud.
Discussion Questions
- Do you know what your “spiritual gift” is? How are you using your gift right now?
- Are you more prone to pride or unbelief – a superiority complex or an inferiority complex – when it comes to your gifts? Pride or unbelief? In either case, how does it cause you to act with your gifts?
- Is there a place in our church where you might be able to use your gifts to encourage the body? If not, where outside the church might you use your gifts?
