Discussion Questions

1. Can you think of anything that starts very small but grows to have a massive impact?
2. God consistently shows up in ways we wouldn’t expect and in this parable Jesus teaches that the Kingdom is no different. How does this give you hope? How does it lead you to reassess your understanding of greatness?
3. This parable teaches that you often can’t see the growth of the Kingdom; it’s not flashy, but very ordinary. How does that change the way you think about what the work of the Church is? Share examples and ideas.
4. Jesus teaches that the small seed of the Kingdom will grow into a great tree of rest. How do we see that already being true today? Pray, thanking God for his welcoming grace in the gospel, and for those who are yet to find rest in Him.
