Hook: When's the last time you said, "I was wrong!"?
I. NEED FOR REPENTANCE
"Repentance and faith are the constant, daily rhythms of the Christian life, our breathing in and breathing out. Repentance is not usually a moment wrought in high drama. It is the steady drumbeat of a life in Christ.” – Tish Harrison Warren
II. DEFINITION OF REPENTANCE
"Repentance is turning from as much as you know of your sin to give as much as you know of yourself to as much as you know of God.” – J.I. Packer
III. INDUCEMENT TO REPENTANCE
"As there is no sin so small, but it deserves damnation; so there is no sin so great, that it can bring damnation upon those who truly repent.” – Westminster Confession of Faith
Takeaway: Repent of your repentance!
