Outline
Hook: The Bible describes God’s people as a “kingdom of priests” (Exodus 19:6; cf. 1 Peter 2:9). ... When you hear the word priest, what comes to mind?
I. THE HORN
"Psalm 148:14 is the climax of the psalm, for only when a King in David’s line is raised up to become the federal head of a new humanity will the whole creation come back into order and sing the glory of God as it ought.” – Christoper Ash
II. THE GODLY
"The church praises God on behalf of a world that does not know God. ... And it will invite others to join in this praise: to offer themselves as a sacrifice to God and glorify him. Before anything else mission is doxological; it is aimed at paying gratitude to God and glorifying him. This is how priests fulfil their task.” – Stefan Paas
Take-away: Sing a NEW song (Ps 149:1).
