Hook: What are you committed to?
I. THE TEMPLE
"Institutions are the durable forms of our common life. They are the frameworks and structures of what we do together. ... The notions that we are formed by institutions runs against the grain of how we think about personal freedom, justice, choice, and many other things we care about. They form us by mediating between each of us and all of us, so our need for them suggests we need formation and mediation – and we would prefer to think we do not.” – Yuval Levin
II. THE BODY
"A worldview that focuses on self-interest doesn’t account for the full amplitude of the human person. ... Individualism says, the main activities of life are buying and selling. But you say, No, the main activity of life is giving. Human being at their best are givers of gifts.” – David Brooks
